Your home improvement favourites

When lockdown was announced in March many of us found ourselves at home with a lot more time on our hands than usual.  For a lot of people this presented the perfect opportunity to tackle all those jobs around the house that had been put off and with the beautiful sunny weather, more of us were spending time in the garden, painting fences and exterior walls.  Not everyone knew that they could have exterior masonry paint tinted but our in-house experts are able to tint paint to any colour on our colour chart, making it easy to find your perfect match!

We soon saw an increase in home improvement projects and in particular there was unprecedented demand for three products, which proved so popular we were often running out of stock.  We joked in the office that we had a new toilet roll saga on our hands!

The products, which remain two of our bestselling paints are the Cuprinol Garden Shades in Urban Slate and Silver Birch and Cuprinol Ducksback in Silver Copse.

Although we’ve seen a variety of paint colours purchased over the last few months, grey is still by far the most popular, particularly for masonry and fencing.   It’s a classic yet modern colour that never goes out of style and with so many different variations, there’s a shade of grey for everyone.

It’s been a difficult time for everyone over the last few months but we’re pleased to let you know that our Stalybridge shop is now open again on Saturdays as well as through the week with protective measures in place.  For any advice or support please drop by or call us on 0161 304 9603 and we’ll be happy to help.
